Digital Course Content

As a digital learning platform, Moodle requires various objects as learning media for online students. These objects are managed as resources or activities. Teachers or course administrators often struggle to provide specific learning media, such as:

    • Book is a multi-page content resource structured in a format similar to a physical book, complete with chapters and sub-chapters
    • SCORM (Sharable Content Object Reference Model) in Moodle is an international standard for interactive e-learning content created using third-party applications and then integrated into Moodle as a complete package.
      While Books or Pages are created directly within Moodle, SCORM is created outside of Moodle (using Authoring Tools) and uploaded as a .zip file.
    • H5P (HTML5 Package) in Moodle is a feature for creating highly interactive learning content without requiring programming skills. While SCORM requires a paid external application, H5P can be built directly into Moodle for free.
